National training fund was established in 1994 with the support of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic. NTF supports, manages and implements programmes and projects in the field of human resources development.
National Observatory of Employment and Training was set up in 1996 as a unit of the NTF. The Observatory carries out research in the area of VET, labour market, HRD in enterprises including SMEs, makes large-scale company surveys, builds-up databases and makes analyses of development trends and policies.
