The Levón Institute at the University of Vaasa conducts socio-economic applied research and delivers continuing education in the field of business and organisation development for SMEs and public sector organisations financed by national ministries and regional authorities as well as the European Commission. In recent years, activities carried out at the Institute have mostly covered evaluations, studies and technical assistance projects. Essential topics of research have been studies of SMEs and entrepreneurship and evaluations of various EU programmes and projects including Community Initiatives.
